BOAT
AND CREW
"Crazy Horse" was launched
in 1991. She was the brain child of Ted Geiszler, a
mad keen stand up game fisherman. He wanted a boat that
was possible to fight game fish from all parts of the
boat. Frank Pelin and Ted designed the prototype "First
Eclipse" now called "Crazy Horse". Built
by Astral Marine, now Friendship Yachts of Whangarei.
Built to survey, "Crazy Horse"
worked in the Bay Of Islands under well known skippers
Stu Hunter and Chris Brittin. Many game fish where caught
on the boat as it worked the top of the North Island
and the Three Kings. Over the next eight years she has
been based in Wellington, Tauranga, and Auckland as
a pleasure boat.
"Crazy Horse is now back in survey
with its home stables being at Te Waitere which is on
the southern arm of the Kawhia Habour. She is fitted
out with the latest Raymarine chart plotter, fish finder
and radar gear. If you think you are up to the ride,
then "Crazy Horse" is the one for you.
